A Natural Hay Fever Cure Without Any Side Effects
| If you’re fed up with taking antihistamines and other drugs to control your hay fever, then try this wholly natural method that actually works. It’s a bit messy, but well worth it, as this article will show you. |
Are you looking for a natural hay fever cure that doesn’t have undesirable side effects? Here is one that doesn’t involve taking anti-histamine drugs or other medications that only leave you feeling drowsy and ill.
All you need is a little warm water, a small jug with a long spout and a little bicarbonate of soda. Some people suggest using salt instead of bicarbonate of soda – that’s something you’ll have to decide for yourself. You could also use a herbal tea instead of water, or herbs such as eyebright or Oregon graperoot that are anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial.
The water (or herbal tea) should be warm and clean. Add half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda or salt to one quarter of a liter of the water. Pour it into the jug, and lower your head over a sink, turning it to one side. Keep your chin slightly higher than your forehead. Pour the liquid into your upper nostril until it starts to drain out of your other nostril or run down the back of your throat.
The important points to remember are never to make the solution too strong or the water too hot. And always take a deep breath before you start. This method sounds drastic, but it does help to flush out pollens and other allergens from inside your nose, which is where they concentrate themselves.
It’s messy and takes some getting used to, but it’s almost guaranteed to bring a great deal of relief from your hay fever symptoms.
An alternative method is to put the liquid into a dish and lower your nose completely into it. Draw the solution up your nose until it starts to trickle down into your mouth and back into the dish.
This feels really weird at first as it is not entirely natural to “breathe” water up your nose, but as long as you take a deep breath beforehand and take things slowly you’ll soon get used to it. Do this several times if you can, though in the beginning you’ll probably want to stop after two or three cycles.
Although alien to our way of thinking in the West, it makes sense to deal with your hay fever in this direct manner rather than by taking pills or spraying chemicals into an already sensitive area. It can also be used to combat colds.
And although it’s not a PressAwayPain type of solution, it’s one hay fever cure that doesn’t cost anything to speak of.
